Yoga For Osteoarthritis

Is there evidence that yoga can reduce or stop osteoarthritis? I had arthritis in the knee for about two years. I lost weight and started to walk and has helped to reduce flares, but I still had pains everyday. I just started yoga and I notice that I have no pain or symptoms. Is there scientific evidence supporting my experience?

Exercise to strengthen muscles to help relive the pain of osteoarthritis. Read a recent report on the BBC site where they took X number of people with osteoarthritis in the knees and gave them muscle strengthening exercises, have all said that the pain was reduced! If you think about it, muscle and joint support when the pain, we tend not to exercise because of pain, therefore, to weaken the muscle and now you're in a vicious circle. Thus, exercise to strengthen muscles supporting joints and relive pain. Good luck, I did Pilate.

There is not much research available, but there is a case study and a pilot study shows that yoga improves osteoarthritis in the knees.

I had osteoarthritis of level 2 years ago. In fact, I think I have it now too. The doctor said: "Madam, you should not go all the sports news that chess ... I do not play chess, but I started yoga 3 months ago. As a yoga teacher said one of my in half a year, it will not matter if you had any illnesses, so I want to prove it. I will write about my results later, 3-5 - years)
