Why the inside of a banana peel cure a wart? The BBC website states that you must rub the inside of a banana peel on a wart, but it gives no basis for that. Anyone know what is in a banana skin, and what reaction it would have a wart? Or is it just an old wives tale?
I know.
I hadnt heard of this but Im going to test it ... son has a wart and we have some bananas. I'll see if it works;
my mother used to put small piece of banana skin under a plaster overnight to cure it, it worked, she said it was the potassium
I do not know what it contains but I knew the milk "dandelion stems cure warts, so maybe it's the same thing?
Well, some of these old wives tales do work, even if we do not know why.
You can try it - or you can use tea tree and lemon cream (or oil). This does actually work.
Good luck warts - are not very fun.
Yeah, I want to know too. Maybe its potassium in the skin or some other chemical that does the trick. I had a Verucci when I was in school (one million years ago) and I remember how horrible it was, If I had known that banana peels could get rid of it I would have used .
Yeah Me too! I've never heard it before.
psychosomatic as bacon rind and a wart
