I had a vaginal probe ultrasound and they found fibroids in my womb. I have blood test and discovered that I am? anemic by bleeding and severe pain during my period! I get an endometrial biopsy next week.Does this make me a candidate for a hysterectomy? And how long this operation? Thank you.
This is exactly what I had.
I have not had to undergo a hysterectomy. I had a procedure called cryoablation. (I do not know if I spelled this correctly.) Basically, they frozen the lining out of my womb. I just had this done less than a month earlier. It was an outpatient procedure. I was very doped the first day, but after that I just took Tylenol. I have not had any bleeding since the procedure and so far I'm very well. It will take two months to see how successful it was. (No time compared to periods of light, etc.)
I went through exactly the same thing. They found Miomir .. as fibroids. 3 of them. and after I had the biopsy. What they do, they scratch and test to see if its malignancy. I have done without anesthesia in .. Dominican Republic, but it was cheaper for me. and felt uncomfortable because I wasn't sooo numb = (
This does not make you be a candidate for hysterectomy. And the operation should be like 10-20 min ... they have enough to scrape the lining of your uterus for testing .. At the end they just told me they werent cancerous ... and was diagnosed with endometriosis and Miomir .. then they gave me drugs to break down the fibroids because they werent that great. At 6 mos treatment.if they are big then it requires surgery to remove them. I wish you good luck and Panic. You'll be ok =)
