Is a chlorhexidine mouth wash effective in the treatment of oral candidiasis? Three weeks ago have a couple of sores in the mouth with the back of my throat, especially in the area of the uvula, they are so painful that I decided to take antibiotics for treatment to speed healing approximately one week after the antibiotics I developed thrush in my mouth which resulted in causing my tongue to have multiple small aphthous ulcers. I just want to ask if chlorhexidne mouth wash will help cure the thrush and what foods can you recommend which contains anti-fungal properties? What is the fire that home remedies to treat thrush?
There is no remedy that the house fire. You need one of three common requirements to take care of that. yogurt diet may help a little, but if you have a full blown case of thrush, you need Rx. (Mycostatin Suspension, Mycelex Troche, or tabs Diflucan)
Chlorhexidine is not really used to treat thrush, you can try yogurt, but you really need to nystatin or Diflucan.
Chlorhexadine will slow the production of plaque formation on teeth. It will do nothing for thrush. I would get chewable acidopholous and eating yogurt every day to maintain a good balance of good bacteria in your digestive tract. As you know antibiotics kill all bacteria, even though if you need to restore this property with acidopholous and / or probiotics. Hope this helps!
It would probably burn a lot. You need nystatin cream. Not totally sure yogurt alone cure, but can help regulate the flora in your mouth.
