How do I start preparing for breast cancer walk three days? What kinds of things people do to prepare for this?
I'll have to walk 20 miles a day (with a group if we need to get fit together) and he will raise money for breast cancer research. =)
Thank you!
** Note: I'm 65 pounds overweight in August now, so I'll have to do strength training, weight loss and being fit in a year.
Hello. I hope everything goes well. It's good to know that you do the three days. I will do once my children are a little older. I have not done yet, but I know that once you sign up for it there are tons of resources that tell you how to train, including a manual Walker initial training course of schedules, training ideas, tips for buying shoes, etc. Go to the following address

Personally, I treat it as if it were an execution. Since you will be traveling about 15-20 miles a day, make sure you build yourself about 12 miles before the march. If you did 2 miles now, start increasing the mileage to about 1 / 2 mile everyother week (or week if you think you can push). It is okay to take breaks and rest days are important. I found lots of good info on the website Runner's World. I would really like to look over the information they provide on the site of three days and enjoy the cars that they provide. Hope this info helps! Good luck! Nicole:)
Start taking a daily walk. From 15 minutes to 3 or 4 days, then add another 15 minutes ... and so on until you walk for 2-3 hours, without forcing you. Ask a friend with you.
Make sure you wear good foot wear and cut in front of your hiking three days.
Hydrate well before each walk to bring a bottle of water with you. Just as some Gatorade and snacks (dried fruit, nuts). Extend as far in advance.
It is important to stretch again after the march, and rehydrate ... and eating fruit, protein, after an hour long walks.
I also join a gym and ask a personal trainer to help you lose weight and strength training. Yoga is also good so that you stretch your body ... and swimming as well.
