What are the symptoms of HPV (genital warts) in men? I have had HPV for many years now. I only had 2 genital warts all my life. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year. Today, we suddenly noticed he has approx. 6-7 small brown bumps on his penis. Is this genital warts!? I'm so scared. I've no idea what to do. I said from the beginning, I had the diease when he knew. However, I never thought it explodes with a cluster, since I did not hurt. Please help! If theres no man whos never had genital warts, please tell me what happened, thanks!
First, do not listen to other users. Herpes is not brown, it is a papule or pustule like, do not hurt and looks like a group of buttons really gross about to pop.
It could be that the brown "bumps" have been there for a while and you never really taken note of them. Or if they are small dome-shaped structures, there is a possibility that it could be HPV. Men can have warts the same as women, if not generally as common. Most of the time, men are just carriers for the virus and it spread around without being infected.
Since you've already been diagnosed with HPV and warts had before, it is better to have it checked by a doctor. In the meantime, you can perform comparative studies, see if it looks like nothing else. Here is a list of things you can look on Wikipedia to see if she has something in common:
pearly penile papules
* Bowenoid papulosis (it seems most possible)
condylomata
Herpes simplex (very likely it is he)
dermatofibroma
Follicular Keratosis
melanoma (another possibility)
nevus
keratosis suborrheic
urticaria pigmentosa
Warts are usually skin color healthiest like herpes, he should go to the doctor ASAP
