Septated Ovarian Cyst

Septated Ovarian CystCloisonne ovarian cyst ... very worried!?

I am 47 years old and Haver rarely been sick. Seven years ago ... in fact 7 years and three months, I had an ultra sound done by my OBGYN and was diagnosised as having a "compartmentalized ovarian cyst. Measurements of the cyst at the time was 4.1cm x 1.8cm I had pain in both my lower abdomen and lower back espcially if I lifted or done any excercise. I distented and I was very worried. My OBGYN put me on the pill and told me to take them without taking the placebo pills. I took the pill for three months and gradually the pain begain to reside and run about 5 or 6 months later, the pain completely went away and did not return for 7 years! Here is my question, I do not know what a "partitioned ovarian cyst" was at the time. I thought I had a cyst and it went away, I never went back for a second ultra sound. I was so scared I just wanted to forget that I had no symptoms, I thought why bother. But recently I came across information that said that the presence of a cyst partitioned increased the chances of remaining or becoming cancerous. Is this true? I excercise now and run several miles a week. I have no pain or discomfort and even I am not weak. My appitite is great and there is no weight loss, fever, bowl problems or other symptoms of cancer. "I still take the same birth control pills for seven years now and not taking the placebo . My family has no history of ovarian cancer, breast cancer or other cancer as I know, except my mother die of lung cancer at the age of 75. All four of my grandparents lived more than 85. I do not smoke and try to eat a healthy diet and stay fit. Someone told me that maybe the cyst is still there but srunk and that he could still be cancer. Is this possible? Should I be worried?

You must follow up with your doctor, I guess this also means that you have not had an annual review (PAP) over 7 years, very unwise. Make an appt with your doctor and follow.
