Does it matter if you lose your rubber bands for your braces and you use a different size? I can not find my box of rubber bands, and my sister just got her braces off, so she has a replacement bag of rubber bands. Is it allowed if I use a reminder three weeks before my next appointment. The rubber bands are smaller than normal to me. How am I indeed? Should I wear them, or go into my orthodontist office and get another package?
You should go to the orthodontic office and get another package. The size and resistance bands you were given were probably chosen for what you need. The smaller ones are stronger when they are supposed to spend your teeth - they are also more painful and can cause the problem of over-correction. And you do not want to wait three weeks, you might not care, but I know from experience that when you're about to get your braces off and find out you're not, you regret every second you do not listen to the instructions of your orthodontist! (No moralizing here ... I was really frustrated at the time!)
Yes, it makes a difference if the sizes arent the same. you should go to your orthodontist and look for another package. Small groups of your sister will not only painful, but it can damage their teeth if they are going too fast.
Just pick up another bag. Maybe pick up another one in reserve. I do not think you should use the right size.
