Ra Treatment

Organic products are one type of RA treatment that work by controlling the underlying disease itself in addition to symptoms.

Act biologics on the immune system. The cells of the immune system communicate using chemicals called cytokines. Experts believe that the reason the immune system attacks the joints of RA patients is that they have too many cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) and interleukin (IL) and that these cytokines may be sending messages to attack the joints. Some biologics target these cytokines and block their effects.

Other biologics work by blocking certain white blood cells (also part of the immune system) to become active and attack the joints. The shares of organic products on the immune system to help prevent inflammation of RA, thus allowing to relieve symptoms and prevent joint damage of rheumatoid arthritis. Some biological agents may also improve physical function.

Organic products are used for moderate to severe RA. Some organic products may be used alone or in combination with other therapies against RA.

Infliximab (Remicade) used in combination with methotrexate, etanercept (Enbrel) alone or with methotrexate, and adalimumab (Humira) used alone or with methotrexate or other DMARDs with (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs) can relieve the symptoms of RA, slow down and prevent further joint damage and improve physical function. Anakinra (Kineret) used alone or in combination with DMARDs can relieve symptoms and slow joint damage.

Abatacept (Orencia) used alone or in combination with DMARDs can relieve the symptoms of RA, slow down and prevent further joint damage and improving physical function in people who have not obtained the results one or more DMARDs or anti-TNF therapies (such as infliximab, etanercept or adalimumab). Rituximab (Rituxan), used in combination with methotrexate, can relieve the symptoms of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in people who have not received results from or could not tolerate one or more anti-TNF .

Early and aggressive treatment is recommended for people with RA to achieve fight against diseases, prevent joint damage, relieve pain and maintain or delay joint function. Organic can begin work within days to several weeks, and the full effects are seen in 3-4 months.

Etanercept (Enbrel) works by blocking TNF-a. It is usually self-injected subcutaneously once or twice a week (52 to 104 injections per year).

Anakinra (Kineret) works by blocking interleukin-1 (IL-1), an immune system chemical that sends signals leading to joint swelling and damage. It is usually self-injected subcutaneously once a day.

Adalimumab (Humira) works by blocking TNF-a. Adalimumab is usually self-injected subcutaneously once a week, others (about 26 injections per year).

Abatacept (Orencia) acts by blocking T cells (a type of white blood cells) become active and attack the joints. It is administered by intravenous infusion over 30 minutes (if the drug is administered into a vein under the supervision of a trained health professional) in a hospital or a private hospital, commonly known as an infusion clinic. " It is usually administered every 4 weeks.

Rituximab (Rituxan) to help treat rheumatoid arthritis, when one or more anti-TNF therapies have failed or could not be tolerated.
