Precancerous Cervical Cells

I am fourteen weeks pregnant, and a few weeks ago my doctor told me my Pap smear was abnormal, and I have precancerous cervical cells. I have a colposcopy scheduled for next week, but I can not help but feel a little uneasy about this, especially since I read that pregnancy can accelerate the process and the cells can become cancerous more quickly. Has anyone experienced this? What are the chances that I could develop cancer before the baby is born? I tried looking, but all I find is very vague.

Sometimes, some women become pregnant "weird" things.
It is not unusual vaginal smears in pregnant women to be abnormal.
Between an abnormal Pap and cancer there is a long way, often for many years.
