Post Op Hysterectomy Questions

I just had my uterus and ovaries Thursday.Now the past, I'm sitting here on my computer but I am still having discomfort pain.I short of my pain pills today because I had to take two for both three times a day pain persists.My OBGYN thought before my surgery I became addicted to pain medications, because I kept wanting him to draw some for me when I had my pain and cramps in my abdomen.But I do not know how to tell him now than I did run the 20 pills he gave me for my pain after surgery because he could continue to believe that I am addicted to obtain, which is not true because I still have pain, I mean, it was surgery! So today, I have not had not a bowel movement and have had lots of bloating and stomach doctor inflammation.The the call said I should try a Fleets enema and had not help.I even tried emollients well.Nothing seems to work, not even the Motrin that I took to pain.Advice!

Drink prune juice with pulp or eat prunes. This will clear constipation naturally instead of taking more medications. severe constipation alone make you sick and feel terrible.

Your medications against pain caused constipation or impaction is more severely. I have this problem if I do not prune juice weekly.

You only got 20 pills pain??? When I got mine I was on pain medication for three weeks. Although mine was full (clean house) hysterectomy for endometriosis.

I do not know your age, I was 37 and if you are younger than the age of menopause, Premarin GET ON. You really need hormones. I have been on it for 29 years and they will go in the casket with me. With HRT I have depression, paranoia and just feel rotten.

I had a hysterectomy in 2006. Fortunately, there was only one time when I had trouble on the saddle - the solution - I ate lots of fruits rich in fiber. It was a great help.
The barely felt the pain --- and I have a low tolerance to pain.
I think you should go back to your doctor for a checkup.

I just had hand surgery and was on morphine for three days and was then switched to hydrocodone and was allowed a total of 90 pills and I only took 60 of them

I found the Hydrocondon not be of much benefit.

Lortab or Vicoden is, in my opionion, a drug against pain lousey.

Personally, I find it demoralizing to be the best, but they found the side effects associated with what makes them want to use EO (seizures).

If you have pain try a high dose of ibuprofen if you have no stomach bleeding problems.

Try this stuff they give to patients with rheumatoid (4X dose of ibuprofen)

You can take up to 6 ibuprofen at a time, but do it with caution.
