What is the most important factor in reducing the incidence of osteoporosis in older women? 8) Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has been shown to be a way to reduce the incidence of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, but recent clinical trials have shown that it is dangerous to increased risks of heart disease, stroke stroke and cancers associated with different HRT. What is the most important factor in reducing the incidence of osteoporosis in older women and when women should start being concerned about this?
I think the best way to help prevent osteoporosis is exercise. Exercise increases bone strength in men and women.
There are also good medications on the market to help prevent this condition:
If prevention and treatment of osteoporosis is the only issue under consideration and bisphosphonates such as alendronate, ibandronate, risedronate are more effective than menopausal hormone therapy in preventing osteoporotic fractures, and less likely to be associated with significant adverse effects. To date, bisphosphonates are the most effective or category of prescription drugs for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
hope this helps ..
In my opinion, the most important thing a woman can do is to take calcium plus vitamin D during their childbearing years. You should consider using pre-menopausal osteoporosis.
You have no dairy products.
