Plantar warts and duct tape ... You probably think I'm crazy, but I'm not. First, let me tell you about my personal experience with plantar warts and duct tape.

My daughter who is eleven years has had plantar warts about a year ago. I took him to several dermatologists and more recently a podiatrist. I learned through a ton of research she had plantar warts, but they are spreading rapidly.

I began to seek treatment immediately, but they kept spreading so it was more than fifty feet across. He had plantar warts everywhere! I was desperate ... but plantar wart duct tape ... I was not convinced!

At first, doctors were concerned about how the warts spread and why they are spreading at a rapid pace.

The third and last doctor we went to told us that we should try to burn some of the areas most at cryotherapy (freezing of warts). We did, but the pain was so intense it would cause my daughter to have burn marks on the bottom of his feet because there were so many warts were trying to deal .

Finally, a young doctor came to me as she heard my daughter crying after cryotherapy last and said we can try something less painful.

At this stage, I was ready to try anything because of the pain my daughter felt. Then our doctor said, "I know you'll think I'm crazy, but we put duct tape on warts." Me and my daughter just laughed to think our doctor was trying to be funny .

But suddenly she began to wrap tape around the feet of my daughter and told me to do the packing procedure every day, even for two to four weeks. She explained that the tape should be applied at night so that my daughter would not get the duct tape and wet it also would not take the tape off because of his friends.

The doctor told me that when the tape is applied to the plantar warts he does not breathe and plantar wart is cut off the oxygen supply causing warts to stop the spread and they would eventually go.

Well, with just a little faith in the young doctor, I was ready to try the idea of duct tape wart! It should be better than watching my baby cry removing the warts by cryotherapy.

We regret trying for four weeks and believe it or not, it is wart free! My daughter is much happier now ... and less traumatized by visits to the doctor.

Plantar warts and duct tape does not really work.

I never laugh at this new remedy. I always keep the tape around just in case!
