Osteoporosis Doctor

Posted on March 5, 2010.
Osteoporosis DoctorWhat kind of doctor treats osteoporosis? And disorders of the spine?

the doctor has asked me to find a specialist for a person with severe osteoporosis, but I do not know the title could be orthopedict, rheumatology?

The person you mention should be evaluated by an orthopedic bone (Doc), or even a rheumatologist. Since osteoporosis is a bone related issue vs. arthritis (including arthritis Rhematoid), it would be best to see a specialist first bone, which will also specialize in disorders of the spine. If there is a discovery of any rheumatism, it would be the next step. I hope this helps and good luck to the person who suffers.

Probably orthopedist
