Osteoarthritis Treatment

Osteoarthritis TreatmentWhat is the best treatment of osteoarthritis in dogs?

My 9 year old bulldog was given PREVICOX for the treatment of osteoarthritis. His symptoms were improved, but now have taken a turn for the worse. He is in pain and I used all the drugs. The veterinarian will not be available until Friday. Is what I can give him on the counter so far for the pain?

I can not find something more sorry for the fight against Hun, but I found this site that gives a little help is good for different drugs to try if yours isn't working. Sorry Do you have a veterinary emergency that could possibly give your dog an injection until Friday.

I really do not know about the pain ... Have you tried to put on glucosamine supplements? They have greatly contributed to my old arthritis, but his is not a very serious condition. You can actually get in some pet stores.

You can give him a buffered aspirin twice a day. Only aspirin analgesic others. Our vet put our dog a few years ago.

try the baby aspirin. glucosmine and chondroitin also would not be a bad thing to do either. This will not help for pain, but it will help keep the joints lubricated and deteriorates so quickly.

Good luck!
