Nevus Mole

I'm not good at English. What is a correct word for a place on a body Dack. It may be beyond the surface of the skin? Some people have a lot of them. I called "mole" but I just realized that "mole" is something caused by an infection. So that means I have to use another word.

hmm ... I have a mole on my face. I was born with it. But what you think is probably about a birthmark.
