Maca Root is also considered very beneficial to women who may attend the menopause, because it promotes estrogen production and also helps to balance estrogen and progesterone. Increased estrogen levels contributes to reduce episodes of hot flashes and vaginal dryness controls.

Maca root, in addition to being one of the herbs for menopause, helps to increase libido and restore the sex drive is very likely to occur during menopause. Maca root probably contributes to decreasing the intensity of memory loss and osteoporosis.

Red clover also shows a reduction in symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and mood swings. In some study in the Netherlands, women who were on red clover supplements reported a decrease of 44 per cent of menopausal discomfort over eight weeks.
