Leep Procedure Side Effects

Posted on February 10, 2010.
Leep Procedure Side EffectsI am having the LEEP procedure done next week and Im a lil scared. What are the sexual side effects?

My doctor also told me that if I want to design I'd better get moving because i like the most have only 1-2 years. Im 25 years old. Is this normal?

What doctor will tell you that you have only 1-2 years to conceive when you're only 25? It's a ludicrous suggestion, unless you have cancer, will have the uterus or ovaries removed, or who are infertile.

I hope that any good doctor would explain all the side effects and what to expect from the procedure before the procedure.

Here is what I know LEEPS:
LEEPS are usually done after an abnormal PAP. Some things you might expect right after the discharge are dark colored (you should probably wear a maxi pad, not a stamp). Sometimes there may be bloody discharge. Occasionally you may feel pain, but it is more likely that it will be just cramps the day after the procedure.

Sexual side effects of very low to none. In general, you should not have sex for 4-6 weeks after obtaining the FDR to allow time to heal tissues, and also try not to use tampons. I've never heard of a large number of people with fertility problems or birth after LEEP. The site goes further below.
