Currently, the large house is now known as the National Trust, which originally opened the structure to the public in 1961. This elegant house was fully furnished. Some notable pieces are composed by an organ, a 18th century clock in mahogany, a French music box, piano cedar Tasmania, a remarkable assortment of portraits as well as the extensive use of cedar wood for windows, doors and baseboards.

The old umbrella shop

This unique and interesting shop was set up back in the 1860s. It is the ultimate store of authentic period all of Tasmania and has also been directed by the same family since the early 20th century.
