General Requirements
Before qualifying for surgery IOL, you will undergo an eye examination to determine if you have:

- You are pregnant
- Use a pacemaker

If you have cataracts, you may be a candidate for the IOL technology, if you:
- Are over 50 years
- Ask students who are not too big
- Have little astigmatism
- Have eyes that are healthy, other than having cataract
Advanced technology IOLs can correct most degrees of myopia and hyperopia. Astigmatism can be corrected at the time of the introduction of special "relaxing incisions, or after implantation, performing a LASIK procedure.
You probably will not be patient for the IOL if you suffer from:
- Glaucoma
- Inside-the-eye inflammation (iritis or uveitis)
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Macular Degeneration
- Other diseases of the eye actively
- Have already undergone surgery IOL in the eye
However, before LASIK surgery will not necessarily exclude you from being a good candidate for IOL technology.
