How long does oral thrush infant leads to clarify? i didn't know what thrush was til I went to the doctor and this time the mouth of babies infected was pretty. Nystatin did nothing for any of us. Now I'm tryin the purple stuff but I'm starting to worry ... its been 2 weeks since I started treatment and still no sign of a change ... How long does it take a normal baby ... I think she had it for 3 weeks before. She is only six weeks and healthy and eating well.
Have you spoken with your doctor? When my son was that age, he had thrush for about a month before I realized what it was (and I had in my chest was extremely painful) and the first thing we tried - it may have been nystatin - did not work. When we went to the gentian violet has worked for a couple of days. If it is not uncomfortable and eat well, I would not worry too much. But I look at his doctor again because maybe it was diagnosed? Or perhaps there is another remedy, he / she might suggest. Good luck.
He took my youngest son of three months to finally get it cleared up the whole way. Nystatin (I think that's what the DR) finally working, but it took a long time. The purple cloth put ulcers in the mouth, unfortunately, (which is a common side effect I am told) that we simply could not use it. But after three months, it was clear of it. It was about 6 weeks old when he started treatment.
my son had it and after we started Nystatin he was gone after 5-6 days. I've never heard of that long, maybe you should call the doc and see if you can not get more responses. success
She eventually thinned to four months of age.
We did two rounds of nystatin and he has done nothing but make my gag girl. It was miserable. Then, two rounds of Diflucan, which has helped but has not taken the thrush away. She finally "outgrew" the thrush four months. Now she has a pretty little pink tongue! Hold on, it will go away in a few months.
my little thrush resolved in one week, we used Daktarin oral gel is its aroma of orange and you just rub the required amount around the inside of the mouth there four times a day after feeding bubs I Australia do not know what you have when you are, but I would go to the pharmacy and ask about it hope this helps
I am also in Australia and I also used Daktarin oral gel. The things I used to do to get rid of it in bubs mouth and my breast are.
1. Rub it on a dummy and let the baby suck.
2. changing pad in my (to stop reinfection) corresponding to the chest that I cherish (I fed on one side by food).
3. Spread the chest with great news after a feeding, sometimes to a stream (when it was eally painful for me because I knew that if properly positioned he would contact spots bubs problem when feeding)
4. Reposition bubs mouth sometimes until 6 or 7 times until it is painless for me.
Good luck and go see the doctor or chemist to at least see what they offer
