If you have a regular cycle, keep track of days, and often start wearing pads or tampons (and bring extras) to school.

If you have an irregular cycle (like me), wear panty liners every day and wear with pads or tampons in your backpack. Make a habit of going to the bathroom before school to check the damage, some time or two during the school year (beginning and middle of the day, perhaps), and at least once after school. If you carry a purse, push a few blocks away. If not, make one or two in a pocket if necessary (as if you have heavy menstruation). If you are the light, just keep them in your locker or cubby.
