Accessories for children with glasses? Does anyone know where I can find things like chains, spectacle cases and videos for children? I had no problems finding accessories for adults, teenagers or even, but I was 6, got his first pair of glasses today, and she needs a chain for them. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey there
Why not go to a craft store and buy a length of chain / cable (it should not necessarily be one for glasses) and then buy beads, charms, etc. to customize it? You must also be able to buy links or videos you'll need to attach to the glasses. Your daughter will probably enjoy doing it yourself this way, and it is good if you buy lots of different beads, etc. at a time you can always change the look!
Hope this helps ....
This may sound stupid, but did you check the optical department where you get the glasses? Many of them have cases, etc. suited to smaller sizes. If it's a no-go, try the optical services in major chain stores like Wal-Mart. If you still can not find something, you can make one yourself! Go to either a craft store (like Michaels) or Wal-Mart with a section of the crafts and pick up some of the little slippery rubber "rings" found at the ends of strings glasses. You can add any kind of chain in any length. In fact, you can even make a beaded "chain" from son and pearl beads strong your child chooses, or even use a piece of pretty ribbon. If your child is at all apprehensive get his glasses, then make his own chain could make a little more fun.
