Having a cyst on the ovary produces very vague signs of illness or problems, unless of course you are lucky (?) Enough to have stabbing pains in the abdomen or pelvis (ovarian pain) that can sometimes be a significant sign that it is time to give your gynecologist a call and schedule a pelvic exam. Unfortunately, pain or pressure in your lower stomach area is one of the first symptoms of ovarian cancer, as well.

Is an ovarian cyst naturally mean that you have ovarian cancer? No. .. absolutely not. Perhaps indeed a malignant cyst ... in other words ... ovarian cancer? Unfortunately, yes! ovarian cyst symptoms should be taken very seriously, even if the majority of them are nothing to worry about. The cysts are functional cysts never become cancer, and occur several times without any symptoms.

A type of cyst on the ovary that may be cancerous dermoid cyst, but only one to two percent actually are malignant. The cysts on the ovaries may actually one of the only early symptoms of ovarian cancer which is not a vague, generic sign.

So what are some early symptoms of ovarian cancer, or elsewhere ... a cyst on the ovary?

- Pain in the abdomen
- The irregular periods / bleeding between periods
- Bloating or pressure in the abdomen
- Difficulty breathing
- Gastrointestinal problems ... nausea, change in bowel habit, indigestion
- Backache
- Full feeling quickly / not hungry
- Unexplained weight gain / weight loss
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Urinary Problems

Ovarian cancer produces many symptoms that may obscure clear, and may easily be misinterpreted for a disease more common. There have been many studies that have reported more than one of these symptoms for a long time ... four or five weeks ... is certainly a good reason to consult your doctor.

Because there really are no symptoms indicative of early ovarian cancer, other than some of the signs above ... a woman must pay attention to what she knows. If there is any suspicion whatsoever that an ovarian cyst is present and the patient feels the doctor is not enough, the best solution is to ... get a second opinion. It is your life ... take care of it!
