It hurts very bad to have a breast cyst drained?
I had a lot of pain in one breast, he went and came back now. I can not feel any bumps or anything but it is very very bad! I have a GYN appointment tomorrow to check things, but of course I'm scared and I want to know about a pain level of 1-10, ten being the worst which is the factor of pain to cyst drained? I do intend to take a day off? I have no idea. Thank you for responding.

I had this done at the needle in my doctor's office, and he has not done much harm to all. They numbed the area with a little local anesthetic, which has always bites, and I did not feel anything after that. It works the same way for a needle biopsy. I put the pain to a 2 or maybe 3 if you have a low pain threshold.

Mine turned out to be a benign tumor, but if I had to have surgery to remove it. This is done in the hospital day surgery under general anesthesia, and it takes a few days to recover.

If you do not have a piece, they can do a needle biopsy of the area, or they may try hormone therapy or other methods. This is not necessarily cancer, because most breast cancer pieces are not painful. It is difficult not to worry, though!

I know it sounds scary, but I doubt that the pain of having emptied the cyst could be much worse than what you experience now and you'll feel better in the long run, knowing you have supported, and does not have to worry. Sometimes the anticipation is worse because the event itself.

I have not had it in my chest, but with a burst ovarian cyst was terrible.

Better to have it drained and then broke OT. If this occurs, the liquid can enter your bloodsteam and cause infections.

These days, you'll have plenty of anestesia, do not worry.

Take the day off ... try to relax and do it. After everything is finished and you get results, you can go from there. It is better to know than not know.

no, they will make a small slit and then drain it will hurt if they pack

I've never heard that before.

If you're worried about it being wrong to ask the doctor to give you a local anesthetic before surgery.

Nobody can judge the wound, it will be for you, but think this way will it be more painful to endure one or two minutes drainage compared to the days / hours of chest hurt if you did not?

Not all pain is related to breast cysts, hormones, among others, could cause pain.

Breast cysts burst usual. What they are generally regarded as a normal breast duct that got pinched and filled with normal fluid your body uses to keep the canal open. The channels are used during breastfeeding, but your body likes to keep them in working order whatever your age. They can get bigger, smaller or disappear by themselves.

I had a cyst in my right breast 4 years ago. Do you have a mammogram and ultrasound. The ultrasound confirmed that it was a cyst. The doctor told me it was not required to remove it, but I had the doctor remove it. My mother had breast cancer and I do not want to take risks. It was a simple procedure. They deadened the area where the cyst was and I felt no pain. The procedure was quick and easy. It felt a little strange to have something of the probe into my chest. Did not hurt, but. Going to the dentist is much, much more serious and more painful. I could drive home after the procedure. It does not make you dizzy or bad or something. All they have put a dressing on it. Nothing to fear. This is one of the simplest procedures I had done. You could certainly return to work if you have a desk job. I know that.
