When the triple-negative breast cancer spreads to the liver what are the chances of survival? My friend was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer that spread to his liver, after a year of chemo (not consistent, it has the blood platelets so they had to get a grip on this first), she a body scan .. the tumor in the liver increased by 2 cm and they found two small spots in his stomach. I'm in denial I know, but what are his chances of beating this? I do research, but I do not find encouraging news. There?
Metastatic breast cancer is not curable, even if not a triple negative. However, breast cancers that are hormone receptor positive are much better managed. The median survival for cancer of your friend is 2-3 years. I am awfully sorry
I'm sorry to say, but the survival rate at this stage is only ~ 10-15% is a bit difficult to measure the survival rates of cancer because it is based on time.
If she has been diagnosed very recently, I would say it about 5 years left. Except of course, it beats. Tell him to keep fighting. ^ ^
I wish I could give you good news, but liver cancer is very difficult to beat.
I lost my cousin to this as a primary cancer and have lost several friends and family when it has spread to the liver.
