Benign Teratoma

Posted on February 22, 2010.
Benign TeratomaHas anyone here or had a child born with a sacrococcygeal teratoma?

I know this is a Longshot, but I would like to learn more. I was born with a benign and 18 y / o just realized that I did not coccyx after doing some research and well, my anatomy. If anyone knows anything about it, has the child / you develop cancer later in life, and it was their original teratoma malignant or benign? Share your stories, please.
Thank you all.

The husband of my best friend was born with a mild ST. He is now 57 and, as far as I know, has never had a problem with it. Their son is in good health (he was 22) and their daughter, unofrtunately, a very rare congenital disease, but it is not related to her husband ST.
