After Eye Surgery

After Eye SurgeryWhat we should and should not do before and after eye surgery?

My dad will for eye surgery to remove a piece of something that disturbs the blocking pattern is what most 50 years old will be in their 70s. Anyone know what it is? Anyway, my questions is what should we do or not do before n after the surgery? Everything you need to avoid eating? I really need to know. Thank you.

This is a cataract. I just had surgery in November and I'm only 48.
Your father must receive instructions from the ambulance before it goes in. They will be similar to these:
Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before surgery. No alcohol 24 hours before, no aspirin 2-3 days before. Start prescription drops two days before.
After the surgery;
Continue using the drops as indicated for a maximum of four weeks.
NO heavy lifting or strenuous activities for about two weeks. The eye will take 3-4 months to heal completely, but the first two weeks are crucial.
The doctor put a point in the eye. He made a point foluble in my left eye, but it does not dissolve, so when he makes the right eye, he just used a regular and chased after one week.
Good luck, it will be fine. His vision will be even better if you wish he had done earlier!

Plus the first time, the eye drops nauseous.I said Dr. about this and he changed the drops. 2 weeks after the second surgery, I had the pain of the fall (no nausia) Dr changed descends. There is usually an easy solution and no need to suffer. Your father will be great! Flag

Cataracts?
opaque glass?
(Probably the former, but the average age to have a cataract op in the UK / USA is about seventy, although it is declining.)

Standard cataract surgery does not require special precautions because it is usually performed under local anesthesia. It is not necessary to avoid the breakfast, etc.
An eye patch is often used to prevent the person from inadvertently touching the eye for the first day and night,
but it is not normally necessary after the first check-up ..
